Union Graduate College MS Mechanical Engineering Program
The Graduate School of Mechanical Engineering is dedicated to providing graduate students with the advanced theoretical, practical, and professional knowledge needed to advance in their careers. A balanced approach of specialization toward a mechanical engineering career path, combined with exposure to multi-disciplinary perspectives, prepares each degree candidate to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
We utilize a fluid teaching approach of in-depth coverage of fundamentals in the areas of mechanics, materials, thermodynamics and systems analysis, as well as the incorporation of new technologies such as mechatronics, as they appear in the horizon of mechanical engineering.
Union Graduate College offers students flexibility to tailor their study plan from a wide variety of options, including partial incorporation of courses from other graduate programs. Union Graduate College’s professional faculty, including visiting and adjunct professors, provide necessary scholarship and expertise, state-of-art laboratory resources enable hands-on testing and experimentation, while small classes and flexible schedules allow individual contact of students with teachers. This high quality program is offered in a friendly environment that promotes learning. Graduates of this master degree program will be well-prepared to enter any of the major branches of mechanical engineering, including solid mechanics, thermal fluid science, control instrumentation, energy systems, thermal and nuclear power generation.
Union Graduate College’s MS Mechanical Engineering Program will enable each student to:
- Expand fundamentals of mechanics, materials, thermodynamics and systems analysis.
- Explore converging engineering technologies in composite materials and mechatronics.
- Develop expertise in thermal-fluids and solid mechanics and prepare for a career in energy, power systems, control instrumentation, robotics and other multi-disciplinary opportunities.
