Union Graduate School Alumni Scholarships

Scholarships help provide affordable education to students of modest means and academic excellence. They have made -- and continue to make -- a difference in the lives of Union Graduate College students. Because more than 75% percent of students receive financial assistance, providing ample financial aid is essential to maintaining the college's reputation for academic excellence and value.

An annual or endowed scholarship to Union Graduate College is an ideal way to honor a family or corporate name, memorialize a loved one or commemorate a special event. In particular, an endowed scholarship will help the Union Graduate College and future generations of students while creating a lasting tribute to the donor's generosity. To create an endowed scholarship, see below.

How To Create An Endowed Scholarship

Creating a named endowed scholarship at Union Graduate College requires an investment of at least $25,000, payable over five years.

Corporate sponsors may establish a Union Graduate College scholarship in the name of their business, or they may choose to assist their employees to establish an endowment through a matching funds program.

Members of a family or group -- regardless of whether they went to Union -- can join together to create the establishment of a Family or Group Scholarship. For instance:

A $25,000 endowed Union Graduate College Family Scholarship over five years may be funded by:

Two contributors $2,500 each per year
Three contributors $1,667 each per year
Four contributors $1,250 each per year

An endowed scholarship, where the investment earnings only are expended annually, is your gift to our students for generations. The principal is maintained intact, creating a lasting tribute to your generosity to Union Graduate College.

What happens after I decide to create a Union Graduate College Named Scholarship?
You'll work with our Development Office to establish a payment schedule, terms, and details of your Scholarship.

Does my company's matching gift count as part of my $25,000 minimum contribution to start a Family Scholarship?
Yes, if your company allows you to restrict your gift to your Family Scholarship.

Can I make additional gifts to our Scholarship Endowment after the first five years?
You may add to your Union Graduate College Scholarship at any time. The only requirement is that the endowment must be at least $25,000 after five years.
