Union Graduate College Names Lawrence P. Carr, Ph.D. ’89 to Board of Trustees

Lawrence P. Carr, Ph.D. ’89 has been named to the Union Graduate College Board of Trustees. Carr received his M.A., M.B.A. and Ph.D. from Union Graduate College’s School of Management.

After nearly two decades in industry, Dr. Carr is currently a professor of Management Accounting at Babson College in Massachusetts. He also serves as a management consultant, working with General Electric, Pitney-Bowes Xerox and other major corporations.

Prior to joining the Babson faculty, Dr. Carr was Vice-President and Division Controller for Kollmorgen Corporation, a publicly held electronics company. He also served as President and CEO of OSRAM Corporation (part of Siemens), leading the lighting company to an average annual growth of 31% during his eight year tenure.

Dr. Carr is one of six School of Management alumni who joined together in making a major gift to the new Graduate Center that recognizes their beloved professor Don Arnold with a classroom named in his honor.

Welcome, Dr. Carr!
