Union Graduate College Names Lawrence P. Carr, Ph.D. �89 to Board of Trustees

Lawrence P. Carr, Ph.D. �89 has been named to the Union Graduate College Board of Trustees. Carr received his M.A., M.B.A. and Ph.D. from Union Graduate College�s School of Management.

After nearly two decades in industry, Dr. Carr is currently a professor of Management Accounting at Babson College in Massachusetts. He also serves as a management consultant, working with General Electric, Pitney-Bowes Xerox and other major corporations.

Prior to joining the Babson faculty, Dr. Carr was Vice-President and Division Controller for Kollmorgen Corporation, a publicly held electronics company. He also served as President and CEO of OSRAM Corporation (part of Siemens), leading the lighting company to an average annual growth of 31% during his eight year tenure.

Dr. Carr is one of six School of Management alumni who joined together in making a major gift to the new Graduate Center that recognizes their beloved professor Don Arnold with a classroom named in his honor.
